Do not trust this place with your animals! They are reactionary!
They are understaffed and take that out on your critters!!!
Without even looking at my cat they said euthanasia was the only option!
When I fought them on it because all he needed was an antibiotic, they then overcharged me and made every step of refunding me the money that they took so much more difficult than it needed to be.
The lead vet there is rude and uncaring! Do not let this woman touch your animals, she would rather kill them than deal with them!!
I will never ever bring a single creature back to this establishment, and if I see that she's working someplace else I will avoid that place as well!

And to address your reply...
It's very clear to see that the importance is placed on how much you can charge and not taking proper care of animals (not only from my personal experience but from all the other reviews and everything I've heard about your office)
I was treated with great kindness from the supporting staff but utter rudeness/condescension from the vet... Your staff could see how horrible you were being and apologized multiple times for your (the vet) behavior...
The front desk staff does need to be trained on how to do a refund / how to not over charge in the 1st place... It did eventually go through but there was much confusion on their part with the "how"

UPDATE AT BOTTOM…..
Being new to the area with a sick pup is no fun. I wanted to establish a relationship with this clinic, but after my experiences, I am completely done. Here is exactly what happened:
Unresolved Medical Issues: I brought both of my dogs here one for a follow-up after an ER visit and the other to establish care. My healthy 11 lb poodle had a small lump on his neck that the doctor claimed they couldn't feel. That lump has now grown to the size of a small pea.
The Runaround with Labs: My sick pup just finished antibiotics. Instead of doing a urinalysis at the clinic, they sent me home to catch the sample myself. The explicit understanding was that they would run it immediately so I could get more medicine if needed.
Front Desk Misinformation: When I went back to drop off the sample, I explicitly asked to speak to a technician. Instead, the front desk worker, Diana, intercepted the conversation. She was entirely uninformed and completely misquoted the pricing and turnaround times. It wasn't until I pushed the issue that she actually went back to ask a tech, proving her original information was totally wrong.
Argumentative & Defensive: I called back today to see if they would honor a prescription refill without another exam. While I knew it was a long shot, I figured it was worth asking for my pet's unresolved issue. Instead of just giving a professional answer, Diana used it as an opportunity to argue and defensively bring up past office incidents.Fabricated Notes:
To make a bad situation worse, she went into my official account records and wrote a completely untrue, defensive summary of our call, which she then sent to me. It is terrifying that a front desk worker can fabricate a false paper trail to cover up her own bad attitude.I left feeling incredibly frustrated and completely let down. See my screenshot of what was sent.
The doctors might mean well, but the front desk is the face of the business. Diana's misinformation, terrible attitude, and false logging completely ruined my trust. I have already escalated this entire mess to the manager, the doctor, and their corporate headquarters (PetVet Care Centers). Save yourself the headache and take your pets elsewhere.
UPDATE: I am writing an update to respond to the the companies response to my review. If I could give ZERO stars I would.
Thank you for responding, but your reply does not address the core issues I raised.
The problem was not that I “declined services.” The problem was that I was given incorrect information about pricing and turnaround times, was prevented from speaking with a technician, and was met with rude, argumentative behavior when I tried to clarify the situation. These are the reasons I took the sample elsewhere not because I simply chose to.
Additionally, your response does not acknowledge the most serious concern:
a staff member entered inaccurate, misleading, and defensive notes into my pet’s medical record.
This is not a “process issue.” It is a professionalism and accuracy issue, and it directly affects the trust a client can have in a medical facility.
I appreciate that you are reviewing your record
release protocol, but the behavior and misinformation that led to this situation were not addressed in your response. My hope is that these concerns are taken seriously so other clients do not experience the same breakdown in communication and professionalism.
Great place. They worked with me because I was short on cash for the bill. They are knowledgeable, but need to be a little sympathetic to people who don't have a $1000.00 for a vet bill. Or maybe they can offer some type of charity care, or possibly a reduced price for people in a lower income bracket.
I brought my 10 year old chihuahua, Zoey for a quality of life visit. The doctor on duty was so kind and explained everything that it entailed. Her assistant was also attentive of my emotiobal needs. Im so glad that they took care of her as entered her eternal sleep. Thank you for preparing me to be present. I appreciate everything you've done for Zoey.
This was our first time visiting this vet after spending hours in the emergency clinic across the street the night before. Our sweet Tinkerbell was failing and needed follow up after leaving the emergency clinic. We had lost faith in the vet we had been seeing for years and did not know where to go. Guildford-Jamestown Vet got us in right away at 9 am the next morning. To my heartbreak we made the decision to lay Tink to rest. Given her age 15 years 5 months and how rapidly she had declined over the past 5 days it was a kindness we owed her. All the staff were exceptionally kind, caring, sympathetic, and you could tell they were doing what the loved, taking care of animals. I can't thank them enough for the comfort and support they should me during this very difficult decision of saying goodbye to our beloved family member. The sweet receptionist up front even asked if she could provide me a hug, which I accepted.
Thank you, Guildford Jamestown Vet staff.
